I can't complain about BioWare giving its players more options, but I also can't imagine the audience for this particular feature is very large. The other piece of Dragon Age: Inquisition news announced at PAX Prime was a new patch for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC editions of the game.

You can only transfer from old consoles to new, and within the same console family it needs to be PlayStation 3 to 4, or Xbox 360 to Xbox One.
